Hello readers!
Can you believe it has now been two years since my jaw surgery? Absolutely crazy! 7/7/17 marked my two years, and this year has flown by since the last.
There's not much I can say other than the pain, numbness, and swelling I experience so....
Numbness:
On both sides of my face, on my jawline right at the back is numb, I think this is pretty much permanent now so I will have to deal with it however it doesn't affect me in everyday life.
Also a little spot on my chin is numb but it's not even noticeable, I also have numb gums with odd patches that have come back but most of it is numb, again it doesn't affect me can just be sensitive sometimes.
Pain:
I can honestly say I only experience pain when I yawn a lot and if I chew foods like toffee, skittles, or caramel as it really works the jaw. Other than that, I don't feel a lot of pain.
Swelling:
I personally think all the swelling is gone however I think where my top jaw was brought forward, it has filled up my cheeks slightly and made my face more round!
So that's pretty much it, I feel sad that I don't have to write on this blog as much now but it has been a massive adventure and so much has happened since like:
Starting a youtube channel, performing more shows, working for an entertainment group dressing as Disney characters, leaving college etc...
Please let me know if you are going through the same thing, feel free to comment your blog addresses or your before and afters I would love to see them!
bye!

1 YEAR
Helloooooo people of the internet!!
So I have been meaning to write on here for my one year anniversary post but I have been so busy and also been on holiday that I have just had to keep putting it off! So on the 7th July 2016 it was the one year anniversary for my double jaw surgery :O
Okay so that is CRAAAAAZZZYYY
To tell you the absolute truth it feels like it's been way longer than a year, at least feels like two or three but to even say it has been a year is mad. It has been such a crazy roller coaster.
I knew a lot of people before my jaw surgery but now I am meeting people with my new face and it is so weird that they met me like this and not like before...
I still get some crazy reactions from people who haven't seen me in a while but I suppose that's normal, it's just crazy to think what this surgery can actually do! I can honestly say I have never been happier and thank you so much if you took the time to ever read this and going through the process with me. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions!
I also still have some numbness at the back of my jaw like where it starts, some teeth and gums and a small spot of my chin.
I hope if anyone is going through recovery now is doing absolutely fine and I also hope anyone who is thinking of having it done or is close to having there's done is fine as well. It is a very hard process, I cannot deny that. If you have a lot of people around you and supporting you then it does make it easier, please do not misjudge the strength you will lose in the recovery months and take it easy.
Thanks again!

been a while...
Hey guys! So today is my 18th Birthday. I remember when I was finding out about the operation they said I may have to wait till I'm 18! Instead I'm sitting here, with no braces, small numbness on my chin and an 8 months and 15 days post op and couldn't feel anymore better about myself.
Recently, two of my friends had the same surgery. One of the girls is now on 62 days post op and I am so proud of her because I remember her asking me if it was worth the pain, I remember her saying she thought it would be going on for ages but she's nearly there! My other friend, went into the surgery on the 2nd March 2016, he is now twenty days post op, he's still got a long way to go but he's done so well.
Anyone reading this who is coming up to having this surgery (or is considering it), do it. Yes, I must admit it was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through in my life, but now I am a happier, confident me. I am so proud of myself and I love my new look. But do it for YOU. Not the lowlifes that want you to change, do it because you want to change. You have one life, make it count. Go out there and make yourself happy, if it's what you want, you can get it.

Another Update!
So I am back with yet another update post on how I am doing with my new jaw! It will be 5 months in December!
Numbness:
The only numbness I have is on the right side of my jaw on the outside and its on the jawline with the bone. The inside of my mouth like my gums and parts of my teeth are still very numb as well, which I will probably have to live with for the rest of my life.
Swelling:
I personally thought all the swelling went a while ago, but I was wrong because my face has gone down again and I THINK that is all the swelling gone now.
Sensitivity to bones:
They say it is at least 6 months till the bones are completely fixed, so they are still quite sensitive and there are certain things I stay away from (in college specifically because I do a physical course). Also when I chew certain things like skittles or something that takes a little more strength then other foods, I feel a tingly sensation in my right cheek and the part that my jaw is numb on the jawline on the right side of my jaw, feels weird. If I tense my jaw for a small amount of time, it can really hurt afterwards which is bad because I do this without realising (never on purpose).
Other than that, I live my life as normal and I am still pleased with the results. The only thing is, sometimes I see myself in videos that are taken a little distance from me or photos and my face looks really chubby/swollen like a chipmunk so I don't know why this is, I am used to my face the way it is, but maybe I still look quite swollen to other people?! Haha, I don't care :').
I'll love you and leave you all with that...
I may be back...
But for now...

Update...
Hi Guys!
So yeah I decided to do an update on the swelling/numbness and all that jazz since the three months are now up!
Swelling:
So the swelling is pretty much all gone, the only thing is that because my top jaw was brought forwards, my cheeks are more round and puffy anyways because my face isn't long anymore...it's more rounded and circular. So yeah the swelling is all gone in other words!
Numbness:
I literally have hardly any numbness except for the tiniest little spot/line on my chin but I do not even notice it, it doesn't affect my speech or anything so I don't really care haha! Other than that I have little numbness on my gums, but the roof my mouth has all the feeling back so it's great! And no more numb cheeks! I remember during the process, I could only feel my forehead because it was the only part of my face that wasn't affected in the surgery looool!
Pain:
The main discomfort that I receive is when I am yawning and I open my mouth too wide, it still slightly hurts at the back but I think that will go in time because it's only been three months and it's up to 6 months for the bones too heal.
Chewing:
I can pretty much eat anything now which is such a good feeling, I remember a month into the recovery I couldn't even bite into a noodle...sad times but yeah...chewing is fine!
Brushing Teeth:
I was still using a baby tooth brush up until my braces came off so when the three months was nearly up, I was still using one, I also was still using it when I was on holiday...when I came back off holiday I misplaced my baby toothbrush so I used a normal one and it was a weird feeling at first but it was a great experience LOL! And then I found my baby toothbrush a few days later but I don't use it anymore clearly lmao.
Energy:
I can do a whole day at work / college and not be worn out at the end of the day like I used to be when I was still in recovery. I still get tired like I would before the surgery but not worn out and exhausted like I used to be.
Looking back on photos of the old me, I still look like me but it's still hard to remember what I used too look like without looking at a picture. I am so happy with the results and so happy I went through it now and not later!
So there you have it! My journey & my story. I went through a tough time but I got through it and I'm so incredibly happy I did! These are my before's and after's which has taken me a lot to upload these. I still look like me...just happier :)

WEEK 12!!!
DAY 78:
I cannot believe it is the start of the 12th week!!! So mental! I also go on holiday in just over a week! EXCITING! I have to say, I am so happy with the results and so proud of myself for getting through it. It's not over yet, but it has been a tough time. I thought I couldn't pull through and I thought I couldn't do it...BUT I HAVE!!! Anyway carrying on with how day 78 went...I was at college today as well and Wednesday is a much shorter day, spent the day in our groups for our site specific projects! (I have other blog posts on them) and the glamorous job of cleaning the costume and props cupboard! BUT it had to be done and at least it is out of the way and I wasn't the only one doing it! A lot of work was done today as well so I am feeling good! Other than college I didn't do much apart from more college blogging, more theory revision and so on…!
DAY 79:
A MASSIVE SURPRISE HAPPENED TODAY! So I went to my orthodontist for a check up because I thought my bite had moved horizontally! So when I went there my orthodontist said it was perfect and asked me if I liked my teeth how they are now, and I said 'why?' with some sort of idea with what he would say next and he said what I suspected which was 'we can take the brace off today' SO! I got my braces off and my retainers made for me within an hour and a half! I was so shocked, too see yet again naked teeth and they are so straight! I am so happy with them! I got my braces off 55 days before I was originally meant too and it feels amazing! I went into college and surprised everyone, I got a round of applause from my college class and so many compliments which was the best feeling! We also had a trip too see a site specific piece which I thought was really good but I went round the piece twice in the end because the first time I came out, I didn't really understand it! But the second time, it made much more sense too me!
DAY 80:
Friday is one of my two days off for college so today I had an eye test and my eye sight has gotten worse loool but I picked up a pair of new glasses and have to wait just over a week to get them back because I will be on holiday on the original day I needed to pick them up. Other than the eye test I didn't do much apart from revise theory and stay at my boyfriends which is the classic thing I do these days lol!
DAY 81:
I had work today but I didn't start till one in the afternoon so I missed the hectic breakfast but it was so busy at lunchtime as well! After work I got the bus home and got ready as I had a college party to go too so yeah! I saw two boys at the party that used to go to my college and they said how different I look and how great the results are which was such a nice feeling! Also found out that one of the two, Jack will be having a jaw surgery also! Becoming more common now I think! I had a really good time at the party but I didn't end up getting to sleep till about 2:30 am lol and I had work the next morning!
DAY 82:
Work was a mix and match of busy. Breakfast is always busy so the environment of work was stressful but we managed through it, I am also going to be till trained the weekend after I am back from work! After work, I went home and did theory revision and spent the night with my boyfriend.
DAY 83:
Today, I had my driving lesson and after that I went to mcdonald's. Then I did the usual of revising theory and all that, I also was revising maths because I still have to retake it. It's not my best subject to be honest and I have never seemed to be good at it so yeah haha. I also did some reading as I haven't for a while so did some of that and then went to bed!
DAY 84:
Technically I would have classed this as my three month mark, but the actual three months is over in a few days. But I have kind of been counting the marks for every Tuesday as my operation was on a Tuesday. But yeah I was at college and I was really tired this day, it was just the same old average day to be honest, I am getting back to normal so it's starting to be the same things happening every day!
DAY 85:
Although the week is technically finished, I am going to carry on writing on this post until my three months is actually finished even though as I said before I would have classed it as finished anyway. It was a long day today, well felt like it anyway because I was so tired. But it's just an average day that happens to be honest. I also went to view a car, unfortunately the add proved that it was too good too be true!
DAY 86:
It is the start of October and also I go to Malta tomorrow! Exciting! So I went to college and once I got home I had chicken and chips for dinner and packed for my holiday and I was flying from Gatwick, we had to stay at a hotel the night before in Gatwick because that airport is really far from where I live!
DAY 87:
MALTA!!! So I got to Malta, the flight was HORRIBLE! So many turbines and I had never been so scared but anyways...the hotel was gorgeous and we spent the day looking around and swimming and went out for cocktails and a lovely meal in the evening and had an early night!
DAY 88:
We spent the day touring half of Malta and it was so interesting! I had a fantastic time and it took a whole day too do it! In the evening we went to the capital Valetta to a festival, which was alright but it was still beautiful too see!
DAY 89:
We spent the whole day at Blue Lagoon, it was so beautiful and I swam in the sea and I am terrified of the sea so I was proud of myself! Then when we got back we had to pack and make our way to the airport. The flight home wasn't too bad, but then we had to drive home from Gatwick which was an extra two hours, eventually got home about two in the morning. I fell asleep and woke up about half 9 the next morning.
DAY 90:
It is now the end of the process as it is officially 3 months. I cannot believe the time speeding past, I am so incredibly happy with the results. I love the reactions and now my straight teeth! I would recommend anyone who is going through this process or thinking about going through it, too keep going and to do it if you know it will make you feel better because I know I feel so much happier in myself. I am so happy in myself now! It does get easier, it really does. Good luck, this may be my last ever post but you never know but for now...it's been great...thank you & good luck & goodbye! <3 xxx

Week 11
DAY 71:
So only this week and the week after and my 3 months of recovery are over. I had a migraine and sore throat all day. I went to college and had a trip in Cambridge. When me and my friend Saskia was on our way home, we went the wrong way and then when we nearly eventually got home, due to the rainfall we had an accident, where Saskia lost control and hit a tree but were okay we was just in a lot of shock.
DAY 72:
I didn't go to college as my head and throat was hurting so much and I was still in so much shock. But I just relaxed for the day because I didn't feel like doing much, my head was hurting so much and I was so tired. Other than that I just read and did some coloring.
DAY 73:
I started feeling a little better but I just went to the hospital to go to get a blood test so I could find out what is going on for my throat. I then went to the town center with my mum and had a nice lunch with her. Then my boyfriend stayed the night and I watched 'The Cat In The Hat' and then went to bed early as I needed to go work in the morning.
DAY 74:
I have been taking Vitamin C, and Ibuprofen, so it's made me feel a little better. Work was busy but it was okay, I was glad to be finished by 2:30, then I went MK shopping with my boyfriend, we went Nando's for dinner and then went through a few shops, it was nice to spend time with him. Then I had my friend's 18th birthday BBQ, it was a quiet gathering so it was nice. I had a good time seeing some old friends.
DAY 75:
Sunday is always more quite at work, so it was a lot more relaxed but we was short staffed so it was a little stressful at times but oh well! Then I had chicken curry for dinner, did some theory revision, caught up on some television shows and then went to my boyfriend's sister's house and spent time with his family, then spent the night at my boyfriend's house.
DAY 76:
Monday, I didn't go college because I am not in on Monday's. But I went into town with my mum and I picked up some new jeans and a nice long top for college, I really liked them! The weather was rubbish, it was so cold! Me and my mum also went out for breakfast which was really nice. & we had a tealight holder and we got a fake candle and we went to the graveyard to visit my grandparents graves, and we placed the tealight holder on the grave and it looked really lovely. I also had my driving lesson which was going great until I stalled when I was about to pull off on a roundabout LOL it was so embarrassing and so irritating because I haven't stalled in so long! I just brought my foot off the clutch way too soon LOL! Other than that, it went okay! Although towards the end my migraine was coming back :( So I took some ibuprofen!
DAY 77:
College was long but it felt like a lot of work had been done which is an even better feeling. I don't really know why but I wasn't feeling myself...I don't know why but hey ho! The day went on. Then when I got home I did a lot of blogging (on the college work of sides not so much for this blog) but I was working for so long, but at least I was getting the work done! Also...It is my 11th week mark today! So yeah! Now starting the final week of the 3 month recovery process although there's still a long way to go before it's completely over! Still got braces to come out and retainers to put in! Ah well, I guess it has got too be worth it in the end!
